Servers by votes this month
No servers found.
Modded servers run mods or whole modpacks that add machines, magic, new dimensions, mobs and tools. You install the same pack as the server, usually through a launcher, and join with the normal IP. Modded play suits people who like automation, technology trees and long progression, and who have a computer with enough memory. Servers are ranked by player votes this month, and one click copies the IP.
How to choose a good modded server
- Modpack and version. The server page or description names the pack and its version. Install exactly the same one, because a mismatch means you cannot connect.
- Your computer. Large packs need a lot of memory and a few minutes to start. Check the recommended RAM before you download.
- Updates and resets. Look at when the pack was last updated and whether the map resets when the pack changes.
- Rules and shop. Claims for bases, anti-grief and a fair store matter even more in modded worlds, because powerful items are easy to sell.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best modded server?
Start at the top of this list, ranked by player votes this month. Then pick a server whose pack you actually want to play, since the pack decides the whole experience. Check that the pack is up to date and that other players are online.
Are modded servers free?
Joining is free on nearly all of them, and most modpacks are free to download. You still need Minecraft Java Edition, because mods do not run on Bedrock. Check the store for paid items from the mods.
How do I join a modded server?
Install the same modpack and version in a launcher such as the CurseForge or Modrinth app, start that profile, open Multiplayer, add the server IP and join. If the server uses a different pack, you will be refused.
