Servers by votes this month

SMP stands for Survival Multiplayer: one shared survival world where a community builds, trades and plays side by side. Compared with big networks, SMP servers are usually smaller and calmer, often with few plugins, a whitelist and seasonal events. They suit players who want to know the people they play with, whether that means friends, a Discord group or the community of a favorite creator. This list is ranked by this month's player votes, and any IP copies with one click.
How to choose a good SMP server
- Whitelist and application. Many SMPs let new players in only after a short application or a Discord check. The description says how to join, and a server that answers quickly is usually well run.
- Activity. A small SMP is fine if people are online when you are. Compare the player count, the 30-day uptime on the server page and the dates of recent reviews.
- Seasons and rules. Ask whether the world is permanent or resets every season, and read the rules on PvP, stealing and griefing before you invest time in a base.
- Community language. Chat is the main reason to join an SMP, so choose one whose players speak your language and whose Discord feels friendly.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best SMP server?
Start at the top of this list. It is ranked by player votes this month, so the first servers are the ones whose members are most active and happy right now. Because an SMP is all about people, join the Discord of two or three of them and see which community you click with.
Are SMP servers free?
Joining is free on nearly all of them. Some SMPs are invite-only or ask you to apply, but they do not charge for it. Optional supporter ranks exist on some servers, and they should stay cosmetic.
What is the difference between SMP and survival?
Survival is the game mode. SMP describes how a survival world is run: one shared world for a community, usually smaller, often whitelisted and built around seasons, events and shared rules. Many servers carry both tags.
